2010 Non-Competitve Concert Classes - NCCC

Can be Solo or Ensemble Entry - SOLO ENTRY FORM - ENSEMBLE ENTRY FORM

Non-competitive classes are for entrants who wish to perform in a more relaxed atmosphere .

Anyone may take part in the non-competitive classes but they may not then also enter the competitive class, on the same instrument and in the same category.

Entrants must be aged 18 or under on 31 st August 2010.

Entrants may play ONE piece of music, per instrument, up to the time limit specified for their age group. The choice of music must be stated on the entry form. Entrants must perform the same piece of music as stated on the entry form. Incomplete entry forms and those with 'To be announced' will be returned.. The same piece of music may not be played, by the same person, more than once during the festival weekend.

Ensembles must not exceed 10 people - 1 adult may take part in the junior ensemble class. An adult conductor is also permitted. Children may play a piano duet with an adult in the junior classes only.

Classes will be divided sympathetically according to age/instrumental mix.

All entrants will receive a written, professional adjudication and Infants and Juniors who take part will also receive certificates. All children who are in School Year 2 or under on the 31st August 2010 will receive a 'special' medal.

If the official accompanist is required, please read section on accompanists.

We currently do not offer competitive Percussion classes. Percussionists should enter the non-competitive category.

We do not offer any competitive classes for infants. We do, however, have an Infant Concert. Infants wishing to compete should enter the Junior classes.
