FESTIVAL WINNERS

Can be Solo or Ensemble Entry - Download a SOLO or ENSEMBLE ENTRY FORM

Competitive Classes
Solo or Ensemble Entry.
Competitive classes offer the excitement of taking part in competition.
Medals and trophies are awarded.

All entrants will receive a written, professional adjudication.

Entrants may play ONE piece of music, up to the specified time limit, for their age group. The choice of music must be stated on the entry form. Entrants must perform the same piece of music as stated on the entry form. Incomplete entry forms and those with 'To be announced' will be returned. The same piece may not be played, by the same person, more than once during the festival weekend.

Competitors are permitted to enter a class in advance of their age. For example, as a junior you can enter the Intermediate or Senior classes. However, should you choose to do this, you cannot then enter the junior class. You are not permitted to enter more than one age category on the same instrument.

Accompanists

Entrants may use either their own accompanist or the official Festival accompanist. Entrants in Specialist classes may not use the official Festival accompanist unless by private arrangement.

If the official accompanist is required, a copy of the accompaniment part of the music must be sent with the entry form. Failure to send the accompanist's music will result in the accompanist's fee being returned immediately and private arrangements will have to be made. Late applications for the accompanists are at the discretion of the committee and the accompanists.

Please note that pre-recorded accompaniments are only permitted in the Jazz solo class.
